Back On The Health and Fitness Wagon For-2015 - Step 1 out of 10

Step 1. Feel Empowered and Set Out With Clear Intention and Purpose From The Start

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by what seems like a huge mountain to climb. You will feel like you have such a long way to go and be daunted by the thought of all the changes you will have to make to get fit and healthy.

But forget the big picture for now. Focus on baby steps. Have you heard the phrase ‘how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!’  Well this is the same. So first things first…….

I have broken down the whole process into 10 easy steps.  Here is step 1. Decide to start and decide to start with a very clear reason in mind. WHY!

The first thing you should do before anything else is establish WHY you want to get fit and healthy in 2015. Once you know the REAL reason why. Then the motivation will follow. Without a big enough reason to make positive changes then the willpower will run out long before anything else does. Have a clear WHY will get out of bed to the gym or out the door on a cold morning for a run. Or it will get you batch cooking on a Sunday afternoon or avoiding the chocolate aisles in the supermarkets!

An example might be: I want to eat well and feel great becuase I want to live my life to the fullest for the longest time. I want to be the best I can be for my kids and my partner and function to the highest level every day so I can serve and motivate my clients to the very best of my ability. When I am feeling and looking great I love my life and all is has to offer

Then when you have your WHY……..

Load up your iPod with your favourite motivating music and get yourself a new gym bag, kit and pack it ready to go.

Act with intention and purpose. When you have packed your new shiny gym kit ready to go it sends a clear and distinct message to the brain. You mean business!

So today get on-line and order yourself some new gear and plan your fitness regime. Whether it’s joining classes, finding a gym buddy to train with or to go for an early morning walk everyday!

Big love, small tummies
