Inside the Mia Tui Factory – Where It All Began

I’m currently in Vietnam, spending time with Van and visiting the Mia Tui factory, the heart of everything we do.
Van and I first met 16 years ago when she agreed to help me make 200 travel bags, the very first Mia Tui designs.
What started as a leap of faith has grown into a deep friendship and partnership. We speak every day, and after 16 years of working side by side, we’re more like sisters than business partners.
Together, we’ve built Mia Tui from the ground up, with a shared passion for creating beautiful, practical bags that women love, and come back to time and time again.

Our factory isn’t just a production space, it’s a community.
Van oversees a team of incredibly skilled and dedicated men & women, many of whom have been with us for years. There’s a genuine sense of care and pride in every stitch.
We prioritise ethical working conditions, fair wages, and a safe, supportive environment. The factory closes for lunch, and the team eats together (meals are cooked fresh daily).
Every Mia Tui bag is designed with real life in mind, whether you’re commuting, travelling, running errands, or heading out for dinner. And every bag is made right here, with care and attention from a team who genuinely love what they do.

Van and I are both mothers. We understand the juggle and the need for a bag that helps keep you organised. That’s why Mia Tui exists.
What started as a practical solution to a problem I faced as a mum abroad has grown into a brand supported by thousands of women, and it all comes back to this little factory in Vietnam.
I hope this gives you a better glimpse into who we are, where your bag comes from, and why it means so much to us.
With Love, Charlotte x
