I Always Knew Running Was Dangerous!

Well, I have quite the story for you! I was out for a run with my daughter 3 weeks ago when I took an unplanned stumble on some gravel. I almost saved myself, but then gravity had other plans. I knew instantly I had dislocated my shoulder as I couldn't move, and the pain was off the scale. After a dramatic call to my husband and a very long story made short, I’ve broken and dislocated my shoulder. I needed an operation to pin my shoulder back together. The worst thing is I’ve got nerve damage, which means my left hand and fingers are currently on strike 😅. Luckily, I can still type and write with my right hand. The pain is no joke, but I’m doing everything I can to get back to my usual self. The doctors keep reminding me it’s a “long road to recovery” – clearly, they don’t know who they’re dealing with. Patience has never been my strong suit! On the bright side, I’ve discovered a real love for our Chelsea & Aspen bags – they’re my new best friends since I can manage them easily with one hand. Backpacks, you’re on hold for now! Thanks for all the support as I navigate this bumpy (and slightly painful) road to recovery. Love Charlotte x |
