Some of you may have noticed there’s a certain Wedding taking place this weekend in Windsor. The team at Mia Tui have been watching the letterbox for our invitation but I think when Meghan was writing the guest list she may have misread our address?
Not to be deterred, we raided our wardrobes this week, Sarah arrived at the office with a hat box which was possibly larger than she is! And armed with our very own David Bailey and make-up artist (Charlotte’s Mum and Dad!) we descended on our local Church in the hope that we may inspire some of you who have forthcoming Summer Events. Luckily, we didn’t gatecrash anyone’s special day, as you can see from the images! But we did have some fun in the glorious May sunshine even if we were all dressed up with no Royal Wedding to attend!
Charlotte chose a Silver Molly which she used with the wrist strap and it really did look fab against her black dress and hat (fit for a Royal Wedding or Royal Enclosure at the Races surely?) This is a look that can carry through many events, Summer or Winter. What’s not to love about a LBD with a bit of Silver accessory bling?
Sarah had actually worn her outfit a couple of weeks ago to a friend’s wedding. The Cornflower Jane really finished her gorgeous dress off perfectly. The Cornflower shade I feel gives a lovely Country Wedding look.
Debbie opted for a navy and cream maxi dress. A maxi dress is so flattering and can carry you through a range of days out during the Summer and of course is perfect for holidays too. Megan in Stone was the ideal accessory to complete Debbie’s look. I’ve touched on our Stone colour in a previous blog. Such a great neutral tone that lends itself to many different colours.
My flowery ensemble is actually what my daughters call a “Play Suit” however I am nudging 50 and to me, it’s an all in one Culotte suit. It’s currently available at Tesco for a very reasonable £25! I had a couple of choices for my Mia Tui accessory, the Rose Gold Jackie and Scarlet Lily as a clutch bag. Both bags looked great and I actually loved the Rose Gold colour, it looked stunning in the sunshine!
The Jane, Jackie, Megan, Lily, and Molly give a wide style and size choice. If you prefer a grab style bag that is structured, then the Jane is ideal. Jane gives a slightly larger option for a full day out. Seamlessly carrying you from day wear to evening. Jackie and Megan can both be worn with the shoulder strap shortened to give a shoulder bag. If clutch style is your thing, the Lily or Molly with their detachable wrist straps will suit you. With all these choices, we think you’ll find something to bring your outfit together.
A few of our customers have had the idea of using a Molly purse bag for their Bridesmaids to keep all those little essentials in for the day. Sarah also had the ingenious idea of giving her 7-year-old twin girls a Molly each for the wedding they attended. The girls felt very grown up having their own handbag and it meant Mummy’s Jane handbag wasn’t totally full of their little bits and pieces.
Charlotte’s teenage daughter Mia also chose a Molly as her bag of choice for a day out in London last weekend. We've also had a few Mums' buying the Molly and Alex and Oxford folding bags for their teens going to various Festivals over the Summer months. So maybe if you are struggling with teen gift ideas or you are attending a special day and don’t have room for all your daughter’s bits and pieces a Molly makes a great gift!
If you watched our Facebook Live this evening, you will have seen Charlotte mention that we are launching a new page on the website, our “Occasion Bags” featuring Jane, Jackie, Megan, Molly, and Lily. We hope this will help when looking for inspiration for accessorizing your outfit for special occasions.
Don’t forget we have bundle offers on many of the bags mentioned here just take a look at the website www.miatui.com We also have 15% off the Molly just use code M15 at checkout.
So from all the Mia Tui team, we hope you have a wonderful weekend whatever your plans are. And if you are celebrating the Wedding of the Year, or maybe having a party Chin Chin!!
